V ( Intravenous ) Vitamin therapy is a practical, fast and efficient way to restore your body’s natural vitamin, mineral and amino acids levels in a way that can’t be matched by oral supplements. Studies have shown that the human body absorbs only a maximum of 15% of the vitamins from oral supplements whereas the direct IV route offers absorption of 100% for maximum benefit.
In this fast paced life of ours, it is often difficult to make sure our diet includes all the nutrients we need to maintain a healthy body and mind.
How do IV Vitamins and Boosters work ?
Each booster or infusion contains a scientifically proven blend of vitamins, minerals and amino acids, developed to meet a specific health or wellness need. These essential nutrients traditionally were obtained from the food we eat; however, it is believed that over-cropped soil and genetically-modified and over-processed foods can cause many of us to be deficient in some of them.
When administered these nutrients enter the bloodstream directly, and are delivered to the body’s cells immediately and in much higher concentrations than with oral supplements.
They include formulations for sport, mood support, energy, immunity, skin brightening and hair restoration. We can also develop personalised formulations to meet your specific need.
IV nutrition is not targeted to treat any medical condition, it is an adjunct for anyone who wants to benefit from peak fitness and maximum energy performance.
Who is suitable for IV Vitamin treatments?
IV boosters and infusions are ideal for anyone wanting to revitalise, rejuvenate or recharge, as well as to support treatment for a particular condition such as hair loss. Whether you are stressed and overworked, an athletes dedicated to optimum fitness, or an older patient wanting to improve your welling and nutritional status.
What happens on the day of the appointment?
On the day of your appointment you will have a detailed medical consultation to learn about your personal needs and confirm the most suitable IV treatment options for you. The consultation also helps identify any existing medical conditions that could compromise treatment or adversely affect the benefits of IV therapy. This usually lasts around 30min.
Once your treatment has been chosen, an intravenous cannula is inserted and you can sit back and relax while your health is restored with IV therapy. This can take 30 minutes – 1 hour, depending on your treatment.
Are blood tests needed be?
Usually as long as there is no identified kidney problems which might impair clearance of the vitamins, a blood test is rarely needed.
Are IV Vitamins treatments painful?
Mild discomfort may be felt when a cannula is inserted or removed.
Do IV Vitamins and Boosters have any side effects?
Usually no side effects occur, but occasionally you may experience a metallic taste in the mouth or feel flushed during treatment.
